Program overview
The increasing complexity of public policy challenges facing decision makers in the domains of climate and energy policy requires organizations and professionals to adapt new approaches to developing policies and programs. This 3-day course is thus based on an iterative, problem driven, and data-informed approach that would intensively engage learners with real-world problems from their own workplaces and case studies based on the Saudi Arabian context. It will follow the practical SPDi framework for problem analysis through hands-on exercises designed to resolve challenges being faced by learners. They will have opportunities to engage with instructors and their own peers to dig deeper into policy problems they are grappling with daily, and practice co-designing solutions based on evidence and economic theory.
